Why so serious?

I know I'm a little late with this one, but you'll have to forgive me. After all, this blog didn't even exist a few days ago when this poster came out. But considering it's undeniable awesomeness, I figured it deserved a mention.

The folks over at Warner Bros. and whatever ad firm they're using for The Dark Knight deserve enormous props. They've been doing an incredible job with everything from the viral marketing campaign to the teaser trailer from earlier this year. I mean they went around dropping freaking Joker cards in comic book stores. They're just kicking ass with this one.

And this poster represents the absolute creme de la creme in movie marketing. It's just perfect. I don't even need to review it or say anything more, other than bring on the trailer next week!

Warner Bros. also gets extra points for releasing an ultra high-resolution version of the poster which you can get by clicking the picture above. Be warned though... you're going to want to have a fast computer and internet connection for this one.

Final Verdict: A+
(Take note fellow studios... This is how it's done. A definite candidate for Poster of the Year.)
